is there any confirmed report about this guy signing for locomotiv or whoever else? I'll be totally gutted if we miss him and Tamas. Was delighted to be linked to you high quality defenders with some experience. I know its not his policy to talk about players but I really wish WGS or PL would eventually say something if a deal is dead.

I'm very dissapointed if we have missed out on this guy AND Tamas. I'd say signing a left back is more important though, and we've hardly even been linked with one (which is worrying). It's not the end of the world if we have to stick with Caldwell and Mick.

Ive just checked the loko web site and there is no mention of Basa signing and there is no mention of it on skysports, we should wait and see until he defo signed for somebody.

theres a talk about him on Spartak's boards. Him and Saenko were rumoured to be our signings for this years CL. we have just signed Saenko so everyone is expecting the Basa deal to be closed in the next couple of days. however, theres still some doubts about it as we have Rodrigues returned from a loan to Celta and if we sign Basa that will be 10 defenders. most of them there countries' internationals, which is ridiculous innit?

SPL giants Celtic will not be signing defender Marko Basa, as the Serbian has reached an agreement with Lokomotiv Moscow.
25-year-old Basa held talks with the Glasgow giants, and even revealed his deep desire to play at Celtic Park.
The Le Mans centre back, rated at £6 million, told the Sunday Mail last July that: “I'd welcome the opportunity to join Celtic because they are a club with a proud history. I will do what I can to make this transfer happen."
Nevertheless, Le Mans chairman Henri Legarda has officially announced the transfer, and declared that: “Lokomotiv Moscow made an offer that matched our demands and Marko found an agreement with the Russian club.
