Well that was what reported a couple of weeks ago but according to new reports both sides have come to an agreement so I don't know why you seem 100% sure he's not coming.

If we are going to sign him how have they fell through...surely it was just a stalemate in negotiations at the time? Happens in most deals.

Tamas was quite right, trying to get a bit more, most players and there agents do the same. Lawwell played another blinder walking away.

Celtic are now getting him at the price they offered so what if it took longer, at the end of the day Peter Lawwell, knows what he is doing and if it takes weeks for him to conclude a transfer deal, doing it his way, who are we to knock that.

In Lawwell i trust.

where are these bawbags that called Lawwell, and i quote, a "grubby little man" because he was trying to do his job and save us a bit of money and the deal wasn't done and dusted (which it still isn't) as soon as they had hoped for?

where are yous?

the reports are saying that we are signing him on £16k a week. a saving of £4k a week of wages. and signing for £3m insted of the £3.75m that Auxerre were asking for

LeoneNakaFan, i believe you were one of these 'bawbags' were you not? i apologise if you weren't, but i'm pretty sure you were one of them.

Why not? Celtic use Rosshall (a private hospital) on the soutside for medicals and its open 24/7.

They just don't want their squad bloated, they have Xavi, Toure, Keita, Pique and Marquez who can play in that position so it's easier just to sell him on for a million or so and then stick a clause in with a buy-back price if he shows his talent and reaches potential.

I don't understand the panic. If we were a couple of days away from the end of the window then fine but we still have a month to bring players in and ship a few out.

The stalling over the contract will save us 200k a year, not and insignificant sum but it also keeps the amount that defenders earn at the club down. I reckon Mick wouldn't be happy if there was another defender earning lots more than him at the club would he?

Is Crosas definitely a right winger?

Crosas is a defensive midfielder by all accounts
