Duly noted - just making my point buddy

Getting back to the main topic then; Maloney would be an excellent acquisition for us - Naka only has a year left, and wee Shaun is still on 24! We are a team big time on-the-up and he could play a substantial role for us in years to come. The guy is undoubted class, and i don't buy into this idea that just because he left he should never be allowed back.. that just doesn't make sense to me at all.

Still say he was a fecking eejit though - moving to a club that spunks 12 mill (Young) on a guy in your favoured position!!Good chance of first team football then... or not.

The one thing with Maloney is that there is no gamble, we know he can play in the spl and at Celtic and as Roseleabhoy said who is better for the same money that would come to us

There must be some germans, turks or others who play in europe who are better than maloney, what did he do when he was with us, he did score a cracker against huns, but what else? id sooner have stand back

Maloney is a proven player here...poty award no long ago. I dont think any turks or germans in our fee bracket are any better imo...none on show at euro 2008 anyway.

There probably is. the problem being is trying to unearth 1 and hoping that he fulfills you expectations. At least with maloney, you know exactly what you are getting.

Maloney could try to play a different position? I don't really care, I even enjoy seeing him suffer

quite happy to hear maloney being linked with us again, and even happier even naylor goes in the other direction. but we shouldnt pay over the odds for him. we should surely be looking to get him back at a cheaper price than we sold him

No chance. He left for £1m or something due to contract length.

Despite not playing every week down south he will have improved imo

Improved? Now you're having a go... there's not much he can get from a training ground and/or reserves at his skill level. He's been rotting away is what he's been doing.
If MON wants to offload him on us, he can come on the cheap as far as I'm concerned. I'd take him back in a heartbeat, but I'd cringe if we blew the kitty on him.
