In sporting lifes paper talk section, apparently a story in "The People"

Aston Villa manager Martin Oneil has put Celtic goalkeeper Artur Boruc at the top of his shopping list.

Thanks very much martin!! what are we your feeder club

Can only hope "if there is any truth in it" that Martin still has feelings for the tic and pays top whack for him.

Although personally I cant see why big Artur would think Villa is a step up

i'd be insulted if he left us for villa. i could understand if it was milan or arsenal, cant see him going to villa

I don't think he will mate, he said if he left it'd be to a bigger and better club. Don't see Villa stumping out £12M+ for him either so think this is a non-starter, hope so anyway.

Thats my thinking too, Villa would be a tough one to take if he went there, all they will ever be is a top7 epl club with maybe the odd season in the uefa cup.

They will have the money to spend though with that american boy there

MoN can fuck right off! As much as we all love him he's starting to get a bit lippy if he thinks he can take all our best players. Don't think Boruc would go anyhow. Why would he? Villa are a far smaller club than the mighty Celtic.

It would be a big surprise to see him going to Villa, I think bigger clubs maybe sniffing around.

However maybe a considerable wedge plus Stan and Shaun back may be a carrot used by MON.

Hope not but just a thought.

No way, Villa would be a backward step for Boruc. A mid table club and no CL. I really can't see him being interested or Villa actually spending that sort of money.
