See for yourself, it just says McFadden set for Blues exit.
GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT BEFORE YOU MAKE ACQUSATIONS MATE!!

I dont make up fantasy stories, who are you Mr 20 posts to say I do. (infact show me any transfer story that I have made up as fact ever)

I watched this story break live on Sky Sports. Below is a link form Sky Sports explaining that Birmingham rejected a 5.5 million plus Balde offer. Just as I explained to you in the earlier post.

Below is a later online link. I lifted these quotes from Gold.

Sky Sports | Football | Championship | News | City want McFadden stay

Now Birmingham supreme Gold has come out to insist McFadden is not for sale after Celtic reportedly saw a £5.5million bid plus Bobo Balde rejected by The Blues.

"James McFadden is not for sale," said Gold.

"We want to keep our best players to help us try to get back to the Premier League as quickly as possible."

Here is another link from fifa.com and quotes from gold today.

Birmingham reject Celtic's McFadden bid
(AFP) Saturday 21 June 2008
City chairman David Gold insisted Saturday that McFadden is "not for sale" despite an offer of £5.5 million (US$8.6m), plus central defender Bobo Balde, for the striker.

It seems more news agencies have now picked up on the story. Just thought I would post it as I saw it broadcasted live on Sky Sports at the time.

However from new reports it seems that Celtic are saying they have not made any offer at all.

This one says we have distanced ourselves from the story.

i don't think we that we don't want him as WGS is a well known admirer of McFadden. i just think we are keeping our cards close to our chest.

don't believe that we offerd £5.5m plus Bobo as its a higher bid imo for McFadden and to have it rejected. could of believed it if we offerd less money plus Bobo.

Not sure who to believe the only quotes are form the Birmingam Chairman Gold saying he´s not for sale and they rejected the offer from Celtic.

As we see now reports from Celtic (no quotes as yet) saying no offer has been made.

I supose this story has some legs we will just have to sit tight and see how it develops.

I do think this is a def move for us.

Maybe not the money being talked about at the minute but I do think that the final deal will be in and around that mark.

Mcfadden here in a week or 2 for £5.5mil plus Bobo

Thats my feeling

It seems both sides now say it was a non story quotes from Eck.

Eck: Celts won't get Faddy - The Sunday Mail

Strange this one, as reports of an offer then Gold´s remarks that Faddy is not for sale. Maybe the news agencies put 2 and 2 together and came up with 6.

Sounds like agent mischief trying to engineer a move. The quotes from Gold were maybe just a coincidence?

McFadden has today stated he wants to leave Birmingham. I'm watching Sky Sports Centre waiting for an update, but they're only going on about that spoilt twat Ronaldo.

The very fact he says he wants to leave 3 weeks after pledging his loyalty suggests there are moves afoot.

Personally id love to see mcfadden join us,all we can really do is sit back and see what happens. Plus it'll free up wages other players maybe with balde going in the opposite direction.

I'll literally feel sickened if the board were to have sanctioned a transfer of that amount for a player of that quality. Why £5.5mil for a player that is no better than anyone in our midfield?
The squad needs improving, especially at the back, and perhaps another striker, not fattened up.
