King Faddy would be a class buy and gives us that extra option we dont have among the squad , a player that can play both wide in the hole and upfront , He's been here done it in spl did ok in the prem in games i saw with Everton and then once he moved 2 brum playing week in week out he looked much a better player ,

He's got the experince in Europe in uefa cup i am sure he could make the jump in champions league , He's been great for the national side against big teams when it matter's .

The fact he's a tim is even better this lad would deffo be playing for the shirt and not just to pick up a nice wage at the end of the day.

He can play in the hole in front of midfield and behind the strikers, which is exactly what we need to try and pick up those elusive away points in the champions league.

Perfect for a 4-4-1-1 formation that Scotland used so well in the euro 2008 qualifying campaign.

That's the thing mate, he can be used in several positions, and that's a good thing imo.

Would be a great buy.

Its too good to be true. Balde off the wage bill (good servant) and another hungry tim onboard. Like McCourt, i'll wait for the pics of him at CP before I get excited

Faddy would give us something different hope he signs.

He has the ability to keep possession under extreme pressure and can produce game winning moments out of nothing.

He is a free spirit best left to roam. I think WGS is trying to play a more interchanging style. As was evident over the run in with Naka being given more freedom to come in from the flanks.

If this is WGS´s new MO then McFadden would be an ideal candidate.

Cant have too many players with free roles, nothing would get done right

Have you been watching Holland´s front 4?

They rotate and interchange like almost telepathic.

You are comparing McFadden to truely world class players, they dont play free roles, they know exactly what they are at.

It doesn't have to be a free role though.

Remember Benfica away with Chris Killen running around like a doughball all night? It was crying out for someone playing just behind him to get up and support.

Thats what Faddy can give you, unlike that lazy bastard Jarosik.

Benfica were pish in that group and there for the taking. We need to win those kind of games if we're going to kick on and be taken seriously in Europe.

He'd be perfect for tight away games as he is capable of conjuring a goal from nowhere.

Well I guess that’s were we differ I think within the right set-up McFadden would be real class. Maybe not to the level of a Messi or a Kaka but not too much difference to say a Modric or a Ribery. IMO those two are over hyped and over priced. Faddy has terrific levels of ability he just needs to be able to express them by playing with better team mates.

I don't think McFadden would be played in a "free" role, as our formation does not allow for that.

What I think he would bring is, the ability to play anywhere along the frontline, and to a reasonable quality.

He does possess that ability to win a game, and I would welcome his signing, if it comes.

Lets wait until we sign this lad (unlikely at the mo) then we'll ramble on until the cows come home about where he'll fit in.
