Dont think we need any more squad palyers. We should be going 4 good champ league standard, not buying other SPL teams players, imo.

If Magic, Beattie and Miller are being punted in the summer then we need more strikers and Naismith could well improve to CL standard.

We'll get as much for Beattie as we will get for Magic i reckon, even though Magic is a proven striker just because of his age. We should try and get as many young and promising players in as possible so they have a resale value.

I think he would be a great player to get as he is very young and can paly left mid or striker and they are the two main posiotions we are looking for
even if he cant handle it in Europe he will do wodners in the SPl with us if he can be so good with killie

Hes young, decent and can play wide left where we are short - Aidans not ready to play every game (putting it kindly) and Riordan is better up front and is no winger. Killie would be stupid to let him go for 800 grand. He is worth at least 2-3 million and even then thats only cause he is an SPL player. If he was even a champiionship player he would be worth silly money. I would bid anything up to 2.5 million and still think it a total bargain if we got him. I reckon an English team might bid up to 3.5 million for him.

Aye but I wouldnt rate him better than McGeady. He doesnt put in a season like any Celt does, that is a big factor

I agree. Like McGeady, Naismith is not ready to play every game at a big club like Celtic but I could see them splitting the games between them. Both would benifit from that. Whoever it is Aidan definately needs a quality backup.

Yes but only if he starts maybe a max of 20-odd games. Otherwise he would burn out.
