Well if your a Celtic fan Nationality doesnt have anything to do with team selection. The sour grapes sown to MGeady because McGeady chose to play for the Country all his family were born and grew up is really embarrassing

I'll give him till he is 22 which is the age Shaun still was when he came of age at the start of last season. To be honest, thats the normal make or break age anyway for youngsters at CP. No, its got nothing to do with the internationsal thing, its just that Aidan actually in not very good at anythng other than dribbling. I will give him one more season. IMo, he has hardly progressed in the last 3 seasons apart from doing a bit more backtracking.

McGeady's quality was evident this season especially in the 1st half before he picked up the injury with Ireland.I'm willing to give a 21year old with a bunch of potential a lot of time and it seems te club are too with the long contract he's been given. He's still developing physically and has bulked up a lot more this term also combined with an improved defensive awareness which Naylore has testified to and which has also been shown when Riordan has been played on the left.Maybe if he was played in his natural position(same for Naka, call me old fashioned but i like my right sided mid to be right footed and same for left ) I think your premature evaluation of the kid says more about you than him in my humble opinion. If he had have had his1st few months in the last 4 months of the season every one would be raving about him.But he chose Ireland over Scotland so yada yada....

Give me a break. It nothing to do with the international thing. I really talk up Sheridan and I have said I would be happy to see Elvis go now. Hartleys different cause I have seen him play exceptional in the last year so I have hope for him. I just would challenge anyone to name one thing Aidan is good at apart from a bit of dribbling. He is not a good shot, crosser, passer, scorer, vision, decision maker etc. I hope I am wrong but he just feels more like another brian mcclaughlin with each passing season. I will judge him finally at the end of next season.

He played some good ones for Hearts including against us this season. I agree he has been rubbish for us and was not as good for Hearts either but I have seen what he can do and he is only 30 which is fine for a central midfielder. To be honest I have not really defended him much.
Am very disappointed that I am not allowed to have an opinion on mcgeady without it being linked to the fact I wanted him to play for Scotland. Thats done and dusted now and I am a lot less disappointed on that score now than I was when I thought he was the new ronaldinho!. I just think he is an excellent dribbler but with not much else in his locker as yet. If the other parts of his game can be made to match then he would be a superstar but thats a giant if. Well see at the end of the season.

Why are Scotland never winning or even reaching big tournaments? If we sign the Scotland squad we'll be fucked. Look elsewhere for strikers FS

I mentioned about O'Conner months ago, and no one seemed to take much notice. At the time i wasn't sure myself but now i'd say a definate no. We've brought in two 'decent' standard strikers now, you could say as back up, but if we are to get a third in we'd still need to splash out on a 'blue chip' one. Which would leave us with 5 strikers. Ok the squad would benefit, but i just think if we were to bring in O'Conner i'd very much doubt we'd be bringing in the likes of Bellemy, Keane or someone of similar standard/price that we've all been expecting.
P.S. McGeady will be a Celtic legend one day, so get it round yeez

We all hope so. Just some of us have developed big doubts cause a number of crucial aspects of his game have not come on at all in the last three years. If the situation is the same in a years time then I think that would be it. I think his confidence has totally collapsed in the last 6 months and he has been dire. I think the problem is that he is just not ready to play week in week out but since Shaum left we dont have a satisfactory alternative-for me Deeks is a striker. Hopefully wide left competition is on WGS's shopping list. It mat actually benifit Aidan to have a rival.

We have signed one scot, an australian, a kiwi so far this close season so I dont think WGS is delibertely trying to sign Scots. SPL players but not Scots. I cant think of many Scottish players who would actually improve us now other than guys like Ferguson and Boyd who would never come. Maybe Faddy, Fletcher, young Naysmith or Whittaker would get a game for us? Gordon is Celtic class but we dont need another goalie unless Artur goes. So, I cant see many more Scottish signings and certainly not strikers which Scotland is not blessed with. O'Connor is surely not coming now Killins here. He was probably chosed because he was cheaper and there was not a lot to choose between them.

First of all, Gary O'Connor is a great player and know throught contacts that he'd jump at the chance to sign for Celtic.
As for Shaun Maloney - Celtic offered him everything he asked for and it wasnt enough. His mind was made up.

No to O'connor.
But I really think people are a bit hard on the other aspects of Mcgeady game. He has a not bad shot and his crosses are not all awful - remember hes crossing with his left. And yeah at times he gets a bit over excited and runs into trouble but he is still young.
And Im aware the young excuse cant last forever, but his control of the ball is something that doesnt come through the youth system often and he can be trained on the mental side of the game more.
He'll pick up, he has his dips but I think he improved alot overall this season and will continue to in the next.
