Honetsly, how much did you think before saying that? How on earth, or anyone else for tha matter, be worse than Hartley? He's a good player and worth a few quid, so if we can have him a a decent price why not try

i was jkin with jonny, since he disnae like paul hartley and as for the decent price, 5/6mill is not a decent price. hes hardly a superstar and im sure there are better players for that price. if appaih is gonna cost arround 4/5 mill then we may aswell spend the money on him rather than koumas

appiah has played in the world cup, champions league, been touted by big clubs such as arsenal and barca last year after an outstanding world cup. koumas has none of these, and anyway according to various news papers new castle have joined the hunt for koumas, so he might go where the money is and not his heart, so even if we do bid for him there is no guarantees he will be wearing a hoops jersey next season

Lol you think Appiah would do otherwhise if he was offered more money? What makes you think he's such a hoops fan? After reading a bit about him, he does seem more solid than Koumas, but I can remember him from his time at Juventus and he was far from impressive. Plus I found this on Wikipedia: "In May 2007, Appiah has given Juventus a verbal agreement in which he will return to the club."

well if we dont get appiah, then of course the most obvious one is koumas. but if celtic were genuinely interested in appiah, but lost out, then they are going for koumas as a second option i guess. wood that not suggest if koumas was second option that he does not have as much quality as our first targets?

Pearo never got a decent chance. The games in Barcelona and the 3-2 game in Edinburgh showed he had what it takes to become a good player and it was unfair of GS to throw him in at Lisbon with limited 1st team fitness which doomed the end for him

He had more than enough chances! 22 starts and 35 as a sub, and you can count the no. of good games he had on one hand. The Barca game and the comeback aren't enough to prove he was good enough, he went invisible very very often. He wasn't judged by the Lisbon game. I can remember more than half the forum was calling for his head back in december, now half of you have changed your tunes

No doubt Koumas is quality and would do well in the Premiership. Celtic will always loose out to Premiership teams as long as they are in the SPL, simple truth I'm afraid. Ok, we as supporters will always feel that given the choice every player should come to us because we offer CL football.

Fav Celtic Player: The holy goalie, arthur boruc
Fav Celtic Song:
Celtic boss Gordon Strachan has been told he will have to pay £9m for Jason Koumas and West Brom team-mate Diomansy Kamara. (Daily Mirror)

I think this is good value as Kamara scored 20 goals last season and koumas is what were all talking about
