Wouldn't mind us signing Koumas. Would rather have Appiah though, defo.

Koumas is only saying what we would all expect him to say anyway, if the team he's with get promoted then he won't go to ANYONE. What's wrong with that?

Would not be too happy about splashing 6m on a guy that couldn't hack it in the EPL. For that money we got Lennon, Hartson and Sutton, who had all proved it in the EPL.

Baggies loss could favour Celts

West Brom midfielder Jason Koumas could be on his way to Celtic after the Baggies lost to Derby County in the English Championship play-off final this afternoon.

The 27-year-old midfielder, who began his career with Tranmere Rovers, is something of a flair player who can both create and score goals while drifting across the pitch. He has been named in the Championship team of season for two years in a row.

Considered by some to be the best player outside of the Premiership in England, Koumas said before the final: "I've known about Celtic's interest, but I'm happy here. If we go up I don't need a move."

With Scott Brown already added to Celtic's squad, Koumas could be the flair player needed to bring some life into the midfield, while still having the discipline to hold the shape of the team. With Thomas Gravesen and Jiri Jarosik reportedly heading for the Parkhead exit, the money should be there.

One player who will be happier with this afternoon's result is ex-Celtic player Stephen Pearson, who scored the only goal of the game to fire Derby into the Premiership and towards all the money that entails. He moved from Celtic in January, and has quickly helped his new club achieve their number one target.

The West Bromwich Albion midfielder has been watched closely by Gordon Strachan and his team in recent weeks and is also wanted by Premiership newcomers Sunderland.
The 27-year-old Wales international said: "I’ve known about Celtic’s interest for a while.
"But if we get to the Premiership I don’t need to move — and we’re only 90 minutes away

That just shows he is loyal.
If we were through to group stages of CL and a bigger club like AC came calling for Boruc, for example, you'd want him to stay. its the same thing with Koumas

Not worth alot in my eyes, hope we dont get him if he'd rather play for WBA in a relegation fght in the prem than us in CL.
He can sta in the championship
