48th for Rangers? Infront of AZ Alkmaar, Seville, Moscow, Betis..being very generous if you ask me. Not a clue how some of those teams are behind Rangers, I could see alot of them being able to shag Rangers!

Check the rankings, AZ have only had one decent season as have Moscow and Betis. Seville have never qualified for the CL so that's why they are behind Rangers. Remember it's over the course of 5 years that make up the rankings, not just one flash in the pan season.

22nd really isn't bad at all, after Seville (at the start of the 2003/4 season) we were actually top of the rankings believe it or not, couldn't work it out then or now.

Glad to see Villarreal only a few behind us, I am sure we'd be alot higher if we weren't knocked out so easily in the qualifying for the Champions League.

Some rankings seem very strange and wrong, how do they do these rankings exactly?

I mean, how much I love Leeds, but 28th? Maybe because of the Champions League run in 2000/1, but if it's over 5 years, not even including the 1999/0 season when we (Leeds) got to the semi finals of the Uefa Cup. Very strange.

We were never top of the Uefa rankings, never have and in all honesty never probably will.

The rankings are not just done on your european form, however it carries the majority of the weight. League form/final position and a pre determined league difficulty are used to also add to the points.

Personally i think thats not bad but Newcastle to be in 15th is wrong what have they done in 5-years bhoys nothing in my book but the bhoys go all the way to Sevillie to a Major Final(UEFA-Cup-2003)and to beat clubs such as Feyenoord+Ajax+Villarreal there doing not bad in there domestic league+the CL as well so to be 22nd is really good

by the time next seasons ranks come out we will have dropped a few places due to our early exit, 04/05 is the last one there and i think our points for this season will be very low but in saying that we are only dropping the season of 4.8 which is low as well so we should have roughly the same total. if we dont do well next year then we will feel it by lossing the 11.1 and when the year of the seville run leaves we have to had a couple of good years to cover the loss of 20 somthing points from our total

i've confused myself

Thats why it was such a huge blow to fuck up as bad as we did this year. If we had qualified, we would have been in the second batch of teams for the CL group stage - as opposed to third which we have been in the past. Obviously being second seed would hopefully have meant a better chance of getting through to the knock out stage. The Artmedia disaster will mean third seed again next year - and i bet we wont get a group like the huns got.

Its fairly accurate but doesnt take into account any of the teams performances currently. e.g. Lyon are far better than say Deportivo and Valencia wouldn't be second, we would drop to about 30th. Rangers would move up to 25th. It would probably be shown in the next revision next season
