any way how come we didnt at least do the poppy thing?
there was also a hun on jim traynors talk in on saturday there basically saying we are scum cos we apparentley wouldnt do the same.
feel a bit fucked off with that tbh. anyone know why we didnt wear a poppy?

Because we shouldn't have to glorify an army who has killed so many people of Irish and Scottish heritage

Bringing soldiers from Iraq out for applause is wrong, firstly its a wrongful war and secondly its their job... they are paid for it and chose to do it.
The poppy thing I have no idea about more chance of seeing it nearer to the correct time..... 11/11. We play the Well on the 8th and Killie on the 12th so more likely then than 2 weeks before Rememberance Day.

I refuse to wear a poppy, my grandad always told me how he felt about it (him having lost the use of his legs in WW2), he says it degraded him and made him feel like a charity case.

never wore a poppy in my life and don't plan to. I don't see why Celtic should wear poppy's.

i would post the link but i need to have 15 posts to do that but if you go to the BBC sports page there's an article on players wearing poppies during play.
I've got no problem with them bringing the troops to CP and fully support the poppy appeal.

It is not something Celtic or any individual is obligated to support.
Not to mention the fact the red poppy has been taken on as a symbol by other groups and could cause friction.
Simple answer is wear a poppy if you want to and don't if you don't but Celtic won't be throwing anything in anyone's face.

Exactly. I hate the attitude the huns seems to have of "You better do this or you are scum". Fuck off. I can wear what I like.
