Apparently the Irn Bru that is sold in America tastes different, as there's some sorta 'illegal' additive that doesn't comply with strict US regulations.

Thats true, one of the e additives is banned in America because its thought to be carcinogenic.

You can buy it in Australia, readily available in the supermarkets and petrol stations, doesnt taste the same and it has hardly any fizz, a bit flat really!!!!

I heard a different version which was that you had to list all ingredients of foodstuffs imported to the US and Barr refused to do that as there is a secret ingredient that only 2-3 people know about....
