Naw am being serious mate when i was in school back in Scotland it was fucking all the goths with the total black on that talked about the devil that totally loved them. So your trying to say loads of people love Slipknot ? i think you'll find its the guys that are into the black wearing that mostly love them

To be fair, I'd rather be in a school full of 'goths' than neds though. I liked Slipknot when I was younger, still think they're okay, but my flat is hardly decorated with Satanic murals. You'd be surprised at the amount of folk that like Slipknot and love heavy music in general.

I also have to say that Slipknot are nowhere near as heavy as some of the stuff I listen to now.

Are you trying to say that most of the posters in hoopymo's Rocktober thread are 'goths' and all? Cause there's some relatively heavy tunes on that too.

Nah everybody can listen to what they like and so on. Just you will find the majority of the time the people that really like them are either emos or goth's. Neds do my head in aswell so its cool just saying heavy music seems to be a bit OTT in most peoples views

Sorry but slipknot are shocking... well dont do it for me anyway.
Their lyrics are just sensless, well that stuff you can actually understand. Not my cup of tea, i wouldnt say i hate them though, just not my type of music.
