Supposed to go fishing and it's cancelled again due to the fact it's pishin' it down. Can't afford to play snooker so you're stuck with me today it seems.
Two years ago it was roasting in September, I got a cracking tan, I blame the government.

All the government's fault, right enough. Significantly, we appear to be hearing about the terrors of global warming - BURN MORE PLASTICS, say i. Bloody freezing today, and a miserable pishy day also.
Not impressed.
Grim news about a lack of funds for snooker...i was playing last night and some complete numpty took me down to the black. Worrying times. Can normally beat the fucker left-handed but a month without proper practice and i'm shafted!!

Can they fuck - i'm good at snooker, and GASH at pool...
Also, see O'Sullivan who joined the pro pool ranks...and failed.
2 completely different games, IMO - fair enough involving pockets, balls and cues, but tactically complete polar opposites in many ways..

Well I used to play in the John Smiths league in the Midlands, I just didn't like to blow my own trumpet
Steve Davis used to be good at the old pool, I think he did quite well too.

Bloody hell - good skills Cashy...very impressive. Davis did very well indeed - better than expected in all honesty...am sure he beat the (then) world champion in the 2000 world championships. Won like 8 in a row or summat.
The Nugget - a legend!

I like Steve Davis, I like his humility, he knows he's boring and even had his own catchphrase to that effect in a long-running TV advert. He should be King!

I've not but it has been mentioned in conversation recently, I reckon we'll need to save a few quid for that one, I'd rather stop over there after it rather than finishing up and coming back to Glasgow knackered. Plus I like the Isle of Bute.
