corinthians

hi, does anyone here collect or even heard of Corinthian football figures?

they came out around 1995 and there were loads and its gone from strength to strength.

i collect these as i caught the bug from school and forgot about them for a while. then i found mine in the loft and caught the bug again and now have a very very big collection. the other half calls them 'dollies' and the posties always delivering a jiffy bag with them.

almost every team is available, but ofcourse celtic is the only one i collect and if anyone needs some advice on anything, or want some figures for free, for yourself or the kids, just let me know and ill sort you out.

www.prostars.co.uk
www.microstars.co.uk

my own site is Celtic Corinthians

yes, once called 'Big Heads' for obvious reasons but this was just the you and me term. i recall swapping em with my mates a school but that was about it until i found out some of their values after a few years ad gone by.

its one of these things that just happens - you get one, then another, then one as a present, then the family are buying you them then your hooked! i went through a stage of crazy money, just for pieces of plastic lol.

but if anyones keen on starting up their own celtic collection, just gimme a shout

Brilliant collection buddy - used to buy shitloads of them when i was a young buck...woolworths were the nearest stockists.

My favourite one i had was Yeboah - he looked fucking evil!

Also, had Shearer in his blackburn top... actually worked out to be quite valuable in the end - but only in the box, sadly, and where's the fun in that?!

A wee bit OT but you seem to know your stuff. Do you reckon I'd get much for my Subbuteo teams? Got about 10 squads in good condition, no broken players, it's all from the '80s.

I used to collect when I was younger. Remember having Alan Stubbs as my first one. He became a favourite of mine after that

im out of my depth when it comes to subbuteo im afraid but i do know theres a big market for them - just couldnt tell you how to get into it tbh, but im sure with some investigating you'll find out.

yeah, i have all my figures still in packaging as they are worth more that ways. just like dinky cars or train sets - keep the boxes and youre ok.

i had a figure which i paid i think a fiver for and sold it on for over £100! if you know what youve got, then youre laughing. but i only stick to the mighty bhoys and the gf wont let me turn the spare bedroom into a 'celtic' room so all my figures are in boxes in my loft
