My Mother died today.
She was 87, and her health had been good as far as we could tell. My brother and sister-in-law had moved in with her after her stroke a few years ago, and he's the one who found her.
It hasn't sunk in yet. I saw her Thursday when I went to buy her groceries for her. She thanked me and kissed me as always, and the last I saw of her, she was standing at the door, waving good-bye and blinking the porch light on and off, which has been our family trademark ever since I was small.
Marguerite Elizabeth Estaver Keith, born August 13th 1929, and now she's gone.
Prayers and kind thoughts would be much appreciated.

I just talked to my brother. He says that she was in her nightgown, kneeling over her bed, her hands folded and her eyes closed. She must have been saying her goodnight prayers when she was called home.
You can't ask for better than that. Truly.
