Is the Devil real?
OK, don't call me mental.
With all the really bad shit that's been happening lately, war seemingly on the increase, Famine, Credit crunch, generally bad & evil people doing as they please.
I've felt for a while that there could possibly be a hand behind it all, be that corrupt bankers, Illuminati, New World Order etc...
Although this type of human behaviour is as old as time, it seems to me to be coming to a head.
Probably due to more sophisticated ways of killing each other & the world getting smaller, news coverage, internet etc...
I was speaking with a Minister, who actually believes that the Devil is behind all of this & that he is actually real.
I've never really given any thought to the Devil being a real person/being before, but after thinking about it for quite a bit - reading up on the Bible etc... I reckon that it's an explanation worth some credence.
If there is a guiding hand behind all of man's ills (since dawn of time), I suppose the Devil is as good a candidate as any - but is he real?
Any thought?

Believing in stuff like that is just a way of trying to bundle of of the world's ills into one package and put a name on it. There are 6 and a half billion people on the planet, jostling for space. Man's inhumanity towards man is only limited by his imagination, but there's no otherworldly driving force behind our actions, only the quest to sate our own desires. Some people are more selfish in their quest for this. Then again, I may just be an agent for my Dark Prince, uh....the Devil .

If you believe in God, then yes the Devil is real, In almost all cultures and religions they have an equal opposite to God, the anti-christ, lucifer, depending on which ever religion or faith you believe in, will determin your view on what is "The Devil".
The Christians believe he was God's highest rank Angel, who had a disagreed with the almighty regarding Man.
He lead a war in heaven to over throw god and was Banished and thrown out of heaven. (hence the term Fallen Angel)
Personally I do think "the End is Near", but within in my lifetime, dnt know

Lucifer came to the conclusion that he could become better than God and was punished for it. It really is fairy stories though.

I don't believe in the devil but i believe in evil.
theres a theory that all this bloodshed in the world is part of our ascension/evolution process which is supposed to end around 2012, just like when a baby is being born..it aint a pretty sight, it looks like chaos ..blood all over the place, pain, fear...etc but turns out a beautiful thing.

Maybe both." - David Icke - The Biggest Secret 1998
