Icon2 BEERS

Tried a couple of new beers guys and thought I should spread the word on these great finds.

First one -

Bridge of Allan 'William Wallace Ale'

This exceptional ale is dedicated to the memory of Sir William Wallace - patriot and hero of the Scottish nation.

Full bodied and malty, this ale is ruby red in colour with a satisfying crisp dry aftertaste. Hand brewed in the heart of Scotland with only the finest malted barley, choicest hops, yeast and pure Scottish water.

500ml

4.5% ABV

Really enjoyed this beer, nice clean crisp taste, well worth a try folks.

Second one -

Bridge of Allan 'Lomond Gold'

SIBA Scotland Gold Medal Winner and Top Selling Organic Ale.

Clean sharp and fresh flavoured to the taste. Hopped with a fruity organic hop giving a hint of citrus on the palate and a very satisfying aftertaste.

500ml

5.0% ABV

This beer was the shit, the citrus flavour really gives it the edge. Think Corona with the lime, only the flavour stays right till the last drink. Get into this one folks

Tesco superstore at Springburn mate, cost around 1.20. Considering what you pay for other beers it quite reasonable and they are home made and very, very nice beers. Better than most big name beers imo.

you should also try try isle of arran beers. the arran blonde is the best in my opinion, kinda cross between lager and ale.

apparantly the arran brewery has just been bought over as it was struggling due to rising fuel costs, the fact its on an island meant that travel costs were soaring. think thats why some of the beeers are unavailable at the moment mate. i've got it on the cal-mac ferries, in morrissons and in the scotia bar in at the back of the st. enoch centre. need to keep an eye out for some of the others you've mentioned though

I drink Strongbow mostly, but if I drink anything else it's Guinness or Heineken.

Can't have Heineken - never saw what the fuss was about. Singha (from Thailand) is pretty good, Asahi (Japan) is very tangy and refreshing but my favourite beer of recent times is Australia's very own Toohey's Extra Dry
