Are you a better Fan?
Are you a better Fan?
Because you have a season ticket and go to all the away games too, than a fan who lives in Australia, for example and cannot get to games due to distance and/or circumstances?
If this has been done before I apologise as I am new

No Not really however what pisses me off is all these people that say they support Chelsea, Man Utd etc. When clearly they only like them for the fact that they have money and the players and have never been to a game in there lives

i would say going to the games can give you a better basis to form an opinion on a player as you can see things that aren't picked up on camera, ie off ball movement, communication etc. in saying that i've often watched games back the following day and picked up on things i missed when i was at the game.
as for whether it makes you a "better" fan i would say no and i have a season ticket

Gettin pissed off when the Hoops get beaten and being over the moon when they win is a good sign of a true fan, no matter how much money they put directly into the club.
You can also tell a true fan by how he/she reacts to someone slagging Celtic off.

Fans/supporters all over the world have the same thing in common, their love for Celtic.
Followers, are fans fortunate enough to get to see the team live.
Our love for the club should never be categorised, because we all live different circumstances.

Situation 1
A guy who's priority is to renew his season book, no matter if he has to borrow the money to do so. He can barely afford to do it but his love for Celtic is overpowering, he just can't miss a match.
Situation 2
A guy who's priority is his family, he loves Celtic but this year he wants to give his kids a nice holiday abroad so he wont be taking the season book. Instead he'll subscribe to setanta and support his beloved hoops from his living room.
Situation 3
Now this guy has no money issues, he has a season book but only makes half the games in the season. He never misses a big game but the rainy wet midweeks against St Mirren don't really tickle his fancy but he's first in line for a ticket to see his beloved hoops in the cup final.
Situation 4
This guy has never seen the hoops in the flesh but has been an avid supporter from the other side of the world. He has done extensive research on the club and is drawn to it. His dream is to one day save enough to actually make the trip over and watch his beloved hoops play.
Situation 5
Now this guy seems to be Mr Celtic, he is a local lad and is never out his hoops top. He hates the huns and all they stand for and would cause it with any of them just for being huns. Thing is he very, very rarely ever makes a game and money is not the issue. He never really gives an explanation as to why he never makes the games only giving it the 'too busy' reply.
This is just a handful of people I know and their kinda situation, let me know what you think of the different situations and we'll see if the replies can help us......

There's definitely every one of them kind out there, and more.
My view on it is simply based on people who love the club.
I have had a season ticket since the old Jungle days, but I wouldn't question the love of another supporter who has never been to a game.
P.S, situation 3 guy I have no time for, and I wouldn't consider him loving the club, just loving the big occasion.

great answers which makes me proud to be a Celt. The fact that nobody thinks they are above or better than the next man (so far) shows the true family spirit and that they are aware that everybody circumstances are different.
If I posted the same question for a different team's forum I reckon you would get that only true fans go to every single game
