Its part of their style, I dont think they murder it, just a different style, a punkd up version. Its all about taste with DKM, you either like they way they play or not. You should listen to some of their other stuff to make up your mind. If you like loud energetic punk folk, youre in!
Their subject matter isnt just Scots/Irish either, lots of socialist/working class sentiments. Good stuff.
"The Torch" is one of my faves, and their version of "Shipping up to Boston" - also the Spicy McHaggis Jig creases me up every time I hear it.

I used to love Spicy McHaggis jig too but kinda grew out of it. Its still funny as hell whenever I give it a listen.
