I think the main problem with this is the fact Mugabe has not threatened anyone across borders. This should not be an issue but I think this is why the international community has there hands tied, that and the lack of condemnation from other African countries.

A fucking disgrace what´s going on there, I think Mary O’Rourke is right somebody needs to put a bullet in his head it would save so many lives and put a quick end to this horrific tyrant.

The African Nations have condemned his behaviour and met in Egypt to discuss action against him. Shooting him is a stupid option and would just be plain murder. He needs to be forced to accept the majority of Zimbabwe don't want him and when he steps down he should be arrested and put on trial for crimes against his people.

That’s good news from what I heard much earlier in the day it was only Kenya who condemned him.

Have South Africa followed?

I really dont want to take this off topic, but saying that the reason there has been no international intervention is because there has been no cross border threats is naive.
The U.S led coalition found an excuse to invade and occupy Iraq when Iraq wasnt posing any cross border threats.
Does this mean that there will be action against Israel as they seem to be threatening those around its borders and general vicinity ?........I think not

by the un saying that they might be forced to 'ACT' by military means...., well that in lay-mans terms means 'go in and kill him' imo. so it might just happen.

Not wanting to go into all this but Iraq had previous for invading Kuwait.

As for Israel they have never invaded any country without provocation. Hey but that is a whole other messy topic.

The difference hear with Mugabe is he is not a perceived threat out with his own borders. Also first condemnation from most African nations needs to happen and then other nation’s views will hopefully add more weight. From Henke´s comments it is heartening to see the former uniting.

Either way something has to be done as what is happening now is deplorable.

I wasnt refering to the first Gulf War, I was talking about the second (illegal) Gulf War and the whole WMD excuse.

The reasons given for going in to Iraq were out of order, it was fabricated. Ask yourself though, why we didn’t go in for purely humanitarian reasons.?

However this is the point nobody could make a similar case about Mugabe and Zimbabwe as he dosent have any significant arms.
