try doing it in 20min stints with a ten min break each time .also try not to think to hard about what you are doing and you should be fine

Don't waste your time on Celtic websites!!
Eh sometimes if its just not going well and you can't take anything in then you just have to forget about it, go do something else for a few hours then go back to the books.
Also drink lots of water and do ten minutes exercise every two or three hours - keeps your brain alert and energised.

I used a dictaphone when I was at uni. Instead of reading the textbooks and writing notes I recorded them on to a dictaphone. Then I put the books away and played the dictaphone and then took notes from what was on the tape. That way you have read it, said it, heard it and then written it and I found it stuck in my head.

I feel your pain, in the middle of my exams too. I find doing about an hour of studying and then taking a break helps but everyone is different. When I can't get something into my head I just move on and come back to it later and it usually improves a bit then. Oh also, something that helps me, set yourself targets for what all you realistically can learn in a certain period. It keeps you more focused on what you have to do and makes things a bit more productive I think

Study in the morning, as early as possible, that's when you're brain will store more info. The later the day goes on, you're thinking about more stuff, and forgetting about more too.
Now what was the question again?

like paul said study in the morning
also study right before bed.. you might not sleep well but at least with me i repeat everything i just read in the hour before sleeping in my sleep.. its crazy dreams a plenty but all about the subjects you studied.. plus its proven you retain information better right before you sleep.
