F.A.O. The ghirls on TC!
There seems to be a influx of ghirls joining on TC, the staff are mystified as to the reason
Its not a bad thing, dont get me wrong, the place could do with a woman's touch but usually football forums are dominated by guys but thats changing on here!
What has brought you to TC and what do you like about the site?
Oh lads, dont bother posting in this thread unless there is something we should know about you

Many moons ago I played soccer in high school (right fullback). I enjoy other games that have the same set up such as field or floor hockey (never tried lacrosse) having tried most of them in gym class through the years. I even went to camp for a week when I was 17 so that I'd be prepared for tryouts at the start of my senior year, but instead caught a killer flu that had me out of commission for a couple of weeks so that I missed them altogether.
When my first son was born I was wearing my high school soccer jersey. We were the Furies, and I have to tell you that it was royal Ranger blue (eww!)!
A year ago on a Doctor Who forum I met a number of Scots who were all Celtic supporters, and one in particular kept preaching the Celtic Way to me until I became a convert. I had no way to see the games, and it wasn't until I came here and found out about Davie's tictalk channel that I was able to view a whole match from beginning to end (The Mother's Day game May 11th).
After forcing myself to slog through the 2 boring but critical Rangers games which followed it, I was better able to appreciate beautiful football the way it SHOULD be played!
I joined a couple of other forums before I found this one, courtesy of the Doctor who I met on Facebook, and there's no doubt in my mind that this place is head and shoulders above the rest.
Hail! Hail!

I think I stumbled onto the site whilst browsing the bbc sport or something. I found it very male orientated at first but it's gradually got better from that point of view.
I also read the posts for quite a while before joining and I remember being nervous about my first post as I didn't want to be seen as spouting crap. Bhoy did I get into a major debate first post We were talking about singing, sectarianism and politics in footie and such was the strength and shall we say passion of the debate I almost ran and never to come back .
Getting back to the all male thing......I initially found it hard to break into the banter as I was afraid that I might be perceived to be hitting on someone In fact I was once accused of flirting albeit in a jokey way with the Doc who I have to say has been a great friend to me in here since I joined and I felt safe and looked after when chatting to him. Some people don't know how to speak to a lady . Anyway having got over that particular hurdle and becoming like one of the furniture in tc I now just spout whatever crap I want
I think it's the best forum ever and it has become a large part of my life. My hubby can attest to this as he's always asking me what's the mood on here etc I share all the laughs with him and bless him he takes it all in good part I suppose the last thing I can say is I love you all and my life has been enriched for getting to know you.

woman love a good celtic man, there will be rangers, hibs, hearts women on here talking to real men instead of their baby dick husbands who support the same team as them and cant hold a conversation like we do.

i came across it when searching for somethin else celtic-related on google. Like everyone else, i lurked for ages before getting up the courage to post.
after over-coming lots of initial scrunity, i feel ive settled in well, and although i lack a little in technical knowledge (having never picked up ball in my life!) my passion certainly equals most on here.....
i've learned SO much from this forum, and altho im not as regular a poster in more of the technical debates i read them thoroughly and enjoy them greatly.
by far the best celtic forum ever...

Nah, I quite like talking about celtic and I thought this would be a suitable forum. The majority of people here are quite friendly and cause good debates. Glad I joined.

I was a member on Celtic minded for a while, but there was always 100's of threads on the same subject. It was a bit of a rabble in there and not very well moderated. Then they suddenly changed to paid membership only! But it really wasn't a forum worth paying for.
I came here and read for about a year before i started to post - getting to know the members, mods and admin. I didn't hesitate in becoming a Gold member as soon as i noticed it was an option, as in my humble opinion this is by far the best Celtic forum on the net and well worth paying for
