Considering the program is usually called “Football update” I’m puzzled every time I tune in its fucking cricket, golf or anything about an English national team at any sport, fuck sake even the other day they had a full 15 minute block on how cricket bats were made, but nooooooooooo, not any old Cricket bat, oh no, this bat was for the ENGLAND CAPTAIL!!! Wooo, they repeated that section every fucking hour too lol.

I have to say I like Sky Sports News, chiefly because its the only sport related channel i get on my freeview box when im at university so it passes the hours for me

every weekend when i click on the celtic page the top story will either be spl preview or spl review depending on what day it is and on the celtic page there is always a picture of those manky hun bastards. you would think they were the only team in the fucking league

It's been going on for years in the media. Whenever Eddie Irvine was doin well on the track he was British, if he was havin a crap season he was Irish.
There has always been a mentality in the English controlled media that 'English' and 'British' are the same thing.
Does anyone here remember 'Quiz Night' that used to be on ITV around last orders on weeknd nights? Stuart Hall presented a coupla series of it, I think. Anyhow, in the sports round one night, that old nugget, 'Who were the first British Team to win the European Cup?' came up. 'No brainer', I thought. Some idiot said 'Liverpool', and before I had time to say 'You stupid cunt', the fuckin quizmaster turns round and says, 'No, it was Manchester United'

same old story, when a scottish or welsh person or team is doing well they're british, when they're losing they're scottish or welsh. barry mc guigan used to get called british when he's winning and he's not even northern irish he's from monagahan ffs. gotta hate the english

Pretty much par for the course with any company run and owned by Rupert Murdock. Anything green and white is anathema to them.
Over here we have the so called Fox News Channel. It is so biased and right wing they don't even make the sligtest attempt to hide the fact. Jesus anybody watching the channel would need extra steel supports under the right side of their tv so it doesn't topple over. Anytime any Irish story hits the news here they are always 100% anti Irish.
Then they have their Fox Soccer channel where all the presenters are pathetic english sycophants. Thankfully we also get GOL tv and Setanta here so we we are not stuck with only Fox to watch soccer.
