Do you smoke/ever tried to quit/did you quit?
I`m 4 days into quitting, it helps that i have a knockout flu and can hardly breathe let alone smoke but im determined to really quit, just turned 40 last year and i think 25 years without any serious health issues is a good innings and time to call it a halt.
i used to play in a fitba team in my 20s and could mix it with some of the fittest guys in our team but in the last couple of years i got playing with a bunch of friends here and it actually gets embaresing how out of shape i have become, so ive had enough..
anyone had similar issues wi the weed?

Been on them for 26yrs and recently cut them down from 20 or so a day to 6 or 7 now. Already feel so much better it's unreal and my cravings are going down as well. It's 12.35pm here and I've been awake since 6 this morning....only had 1 fag in that time and I'm well chuffed with myself. Not gonna batter myself hard about stopping...I'm more into convincing myself that the breaks between each smoke can become longer and longer...so far so good but I've developed a bit of a dry cough...think it's my lungs actually cheering though!!

Think anyone who can actually break the habit deserves a lot of praise an credit. It's a very strong addiction, and coming off is horrible. Bear in mind also it's not just a physical addiction, it's mental also as most smokers associate having a smoke with doing something else also...e.g, drinking a coffee with a smoke, walking the dog, reading the paper etc. Sometimes you have to break other habits to break the smoking habit also. Personally speaking I'd never have dreamt of leaving the house without at least half a packet of fags on me, even if I was only going out for 10 mins or so....but now I can go out for hours and not even bother bringing fags, or I'll maybe bring one and have it in the motor, just in case. It's tough though..no denying that!
