Celtic Snub To Brazilian Coelho Is Blasted

COELHO'S agent blasted Celtic after the Brazilian international defender was sent back to South America without a contract offer.
Marcelo Djian claims his client was told a £1.4million deal had been struck between his club Corinthians and the Scottish champions, only for the Hoops to back out after signing German international Andreas Hinkel to fill their problem right-back slot.
Coelho, 24 arrived in Glasgow last Thursday believing he was signing - but Gordon Strachan has always insisted he was merely having a look at the player.
But the player's agent said: "He spent three or four days in Glasgow but Celtic didn't keep to the agreement."
Corinthians are angry because they announced before New Year they would receive two million euros from Celtic for Coelho and have bought a replacement. Now they are stuck with FOUR players who play right-back.
Djian added: "Coelho had other proposals in Brazil before Celtic came in for him so now we have to see if we can reactivate one of them."
Corinthians refused to comment but Brazilian press agencies reported: "Corinthians have cancelled the transfer of Coelho to Celtic because the Scottish club did not keep their side of the deal."


hahaha - surely the point of a trial is to see if he is shit or not. He must have been shit so he was punted. I like the bit about the fact they went out and signed other players because they were sure he would get the deal at Celtic - what a stupid thing to do. Its a bit like me moving in a new wife before getting rid of the old one.
