Ebay help

Hi,

I bid on a flute (and no I'm not in the Orange Order..) from ebay, from China for 99p. At least, that's what I thought the price was until I logged in and saw I'd won the auction and the postage and packaging is £89!!!! A fuckin con.

Anyway, my question is, is there any way to cancel the purchase? Or if I just ignore the seller and not pay for it, will I get penalised?

Or what if I canceled this ebay account, and reopened another, would that work?

Your help would be appreciated!

ebay

hi
If you click on the help button ,you will find a section called can i cancel or retract my bid .
But basically you have entered into a binding contract, you can cancel if the seller agrees, but he wont cos its a con , personally i would just refuse to pay and accept a negative feedback, you can then respond to this explaining the little tiddly wink f**ker tried to charge you £89 p/p
Ive been on talk celtic a while now but never posted anything ,ide just like to say hello to all you good fholks
I hope thats of some help to you

Aye, thanks for the help. I left him negative feedback telling him to shove it. He then "reduced" the price to £70 haha. Think he's missing the point. I'd understand if he was shipping an antique wardrobe, but a fuckin' flute?????!!!!!!

Mate you made the mistake when you left the negative feedback. That way he has to really leave you negative feedback.

If you had just have told him you didnt want to bu it and it was a mistake by your daughter or something (just so it doenst look like you are pulling out because your tight!!!!) then he may have let you off.

Even if he didnt and reported you, all ebay would have done is given you an unpaid item strike. No biggie.

When he leaves you neg feedback he will prob request that you both mutually agree to withdraw it, agree and it wont count against your feedback score but will still show on your feedback page. Then all you do is write abit about it in your ebay me page, just so that other sellers and buyers know the circumstances and that you are not just at it.

Spot on there mate, not a big shot on ebay but have been conned in the past. The long and short of it mate, the wee chink must have put the P + P in at some point in the sales pitc. I'm guess there was a big huge advert for the flute, then in small tiny writing a bit about the £89 p+p. Sad but true, he hasn't done anything wrong.

I'd take the hit, neg feedback and move on if I was you pal

Only buying from UK is a lot safer mate

Actually ebay are starting to clamp down on the con merchants that overcharge for PP. If you had contacted them they might have helped you.

Watch out for ebay as I have had my account hijacked twice! Folk thinking I was selling land rover jeeps and works of art and claiming to have sent me payment lol
