Sack him, or laugh at him

A guy phoned into Radio Clyde tonight to talk about the Rangers game right after the final whistle, but eventually got down to slagging the huns. Derek Johnstone cut the guy off by saying "Aye, we know what you are".

Is this reasonable for a journalist? What did he mean?

Sack Derek Johnstone.

Sometimes it's best to let these things go.. What Derek Johnstone says doesn't really bother me even if he meant more than "We know what you are , a Tim trying to get it up us"....

During his career I can remember Gary Mcallister saying he'd love to play for Rangers. When asked about a move to Celtic he said no way would I go there.. It might have been paper talk at the time but it stuck in my mind all this time and by fuck did he sound shellsocked and heartbroken when the first Lyon goal went in.

For a good hour or two after their defeat tonight I was on cloud 9 , watching them get humped felt like a victory for me anyway..
I felt like phoning up one of my hun mates to ask "what's the craic" just for devilment..

Had we just been knocked out in that manner and I'd been the radio presenter I'd have been censored for my launguage had any hun dared phoning up in disguise as one of us..
It's the same with heated debates with huns on forums..
I always find that after 20 minutes I've calmed down a bit and then look back feeling glad I didn't react the way I felt like at the time..

The positive I take is from the fact they got humped last night , their team is under the microscope more than they have been this season , their manager can no longer avoid criticism over tactics , he doesn't even know his best team anymore or who he can trust.. Lets not forget they were given a 10 day lay off for this game because getting through the group was reported to be worth upto £10 million to them..
Now they have games coming thick and fast.

Our January transfers will piss all over theirs..

We will retain the title..

And if all that doesn't make me feel good about myself then I just thank God that Im not a hun...

Does not paper over the cracks though that he said on a radio station "We know what you are". That is outrageous. This is a public service and had that been a newspaper (Daily Record phone in) he would have been carpetted. I don't know how many people tune in to Radio Clyde on a daily basis, but to come out with a comment like that is ridiculous considering the amount of Celtic minded people who listen to the programme.

It is not a fluke that other members of that sports programme do not use comments to that extent. This guy (Johnstone) has been getting away with it for far too long, and since it is meant to be a neutral station, it is about time this guy was taken to task.

Cant believe that kind of lack of integrity is allowed in journalism of sports.

There are certain members of the media, namely Derek Johnstone and Bill Leckie, to name but two, who are a disgrace, and who daily, get away with the most anti Celtic bile you will ever hear/read. There is not a media pundit/journalist who is Celtic minded who would attempt, never mind escape, the shit that these type of people get away with.

Can't see what he has done wrong for a change.

All he meant was I know what you are, a Celtic fan on the wind-up. Not alot to get upset about is it?
