the bbc say borucs trying to leave

Boruc is currently recovering from a knee operation

Artur Boruc cannot leave Celtic under the ruling which saw Andy Webster quit Hearts until May 2009 at the earliest.
Celtic are in talks to extend the goalkeeper's contract, which currently runs until the summer of 2009.
Boruc told a Polish journalist in a website interview he may try to use the Webster clause in the summer or extend his current deal.
But the keeper would not be able to take advantage of the Webster ruling for a further two years.
Scotland international Webster successfully invoked Article 17 of the Fifa transfer regulations to cancel his contract at Hearts in May.

We've again become one the 16 best clubs of Europe

For players under the age of 28 the protected period is three years of a contract, and for those 28 or over when signing the contract the protected period is two years.
A 15-day notice period has to be served before a player can invoke the ruling and then a compensation fee must be decided.
The player is then free to find a new club, providing the switch is to another country.
Webster case is the 'new Bosman'

Despite newspaper speculation linking Boruc with a move in the summer, the Poland international said he was happy to be playing for "a big club".
"We've again become one the 16 best clubs of Europe," he told Sport.PL.

No-one at Celtic has ever discussed with Artur what he is worth

"But I'm aware that there are better teams in Europe and I've said before that I'd like to play somewhere else than Scotland as well.
"I want to develop as a footballer and meet new challenges."
The goalkeeper said he could well stay on depending on how the talks develop, adding: "I have been speaking to Celtic about renewing my contract for eight weeks now.
"The current deal expires in 2009, but Celtic have an option to extend it to 2010. When we part I would like it to be on good terms.
"A move would be the last resort. I still count on us coming to terms.
"The reported price of £10m is out of this world, but there is more money in British football than anywhere else in Europe."
Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell said: "No-one at Celtic has ever discussed with Artur what he is worth. That is fan and media speculation."
The goalkeeper is currently recovering from a minor knee operation and has targeted a return for the Old Firm game at Celtic Park on 2 January.
"It wasn't a complicated operation and I was back in Glasgow for the weekend," he said. "But it had to be done as part of my kneecap became disjointed. That limited my knee movements. "It's getting better and I'm beginning to walk normally."

Fav Celtic Player: Larsson
Fav Celtic Song: The Celtic Song so long as Dean Park doesn't sing it.
Strange this is coming out now, they normally keep this sort of shit prior to a big game in Europe or an Old Firm game to rattle the squad morale, maybe they are expecting a gubbing for the manky mob tomorrow and trying to spread the ill feeling amongst the one remaining side in the last 16.

Well celtic are renowend for contract re-newals being held of so they need not pay the extra wage until the next tranfer window. I only hope lawell has something up his sleave with regards to a new deal for Boruc as he is the best goalkeeper Celtic has had in my life-time.
