Anyone watch it. Thought it was the best show in years and have already bought the DVDS for both series.

The spin-off show is on tonight bbc1 for anyone who watched life on mars
its called 'Ashes To Ashes' ,9pm

It wasn't bad at all but not the best I've seen.
The Sopranos sees of all comers with ease.
I prefer American tv, they really know how to do it.

good stuff , gradually got right into it.
as regards the sopranos ,my da enjoyed it but it got 3 series in and for me was too late to start watching it
oh and uk shows for me everytime , cant be fucked sitting through 20 odd episodes per 'season' when 6-8 would have been enough if it wasnt for advertising and money making

I think the new series is basically a complete reprise on the old one and that doesnt usually work. The female lead seems a shockingly back actress and her charcter is painfully annoying compared to Tyler. Not sure I will watch more than a couple more episodes of Ashes to Ashes. Dont want to taint the memory of Life on Mars which was very special.
