PS3 Help

I'm thinking about importing the PS3 from the states purely because i aint gonna pay what highstreet retailers are asking for. Its at least a £100 cheaper in the US.

Now i no that ps3 games are region free so i dont need to worry about that. I know that the ps2 games are region locked but that doesnt bother me greatly. Also i wont be able to play my dvds, blu ray discs etc as its region locked but that doesnt bother me.

My only concern is wether it will be compatable with my tv as the ps3 will be NTSC instead of PAL . My tv is relatively new, its a 20" mikomi LCD. Anybody know how i could find out if my tv is compatable? i.e any speacial modes/features it needs to have to be compatable.

Waste of time m8..by the time you pay tax and vat on it when it enters this country it aint gonna work out cheaper.Why do you want one just now anyway,there aint any decent games to play on it.Hang onto your pennies until nearer xmas when microsoft,nintendo and sony will be dropping all there prices.Or alternatively by a kick ass pc with a 2 nvidia 8800 gt's running in sli mode which will kick any consoles ass anyday..

My unlce works in a shop in the US thats sells PS3's he says he can get me one for £240 excluding VAT.

I take that as the smaller hard-drive as the larger ones go for $600.
