First Time in Glasgow

It'll be my first time in Glasgow when I head over to the the Killie match on the 2nd with a few mates. I'm looking for somewhere cheap to stay close enough the CP. I was looking at the EuroHostel but it seems a good bit away from Paradise and deep inside Hun territory. Anyone know any nice cheap hotels/hostels close to both the city centre and CP?

Also, we're flying into Prestwick with Ryanair.. Anyone know if there is there a bus from the airport into Glasgow?

Any info appreciated..

You dont have to be close to parkhead, theres trains and buses etc on all the time. Plus theres not really 'territories' as such, everywhere is mixed with a few exceptions. Hard to get somewhere cheap at this time of year.

yeh the city centres your best bet, loads of cheap hotels etc then just get the train to belgrove and walk to the stadium with the celtic fans (10mins).

Eurohostel is pretty decent mate... It's not fancy or anything but it's cheap, has a bed and puts a roof over your head for the night. Has a bar right next to it called Osmosis... So go there, get pissed and you don't have far to stumble back to yer bed! There's about 4 pool tables, sky digital and loads of bandit machines spead over the joint.

It's a Huge ass white building on Jamaica St just round from the St Enoch Center. It's dead easy to get to from the tube, central station and Buchanan Bus station.

If you do plan on going out after though do not... DO NOT WEAR FOOTBALL COLOURS unless your in a fairly big crowd. Even then alot of bars won't let you in with football tops on regardless of the day or time.

If you're coming in from Prestwick you'd be better getting the train from the airport than the bus. The train is much faster and if you show them your flight confirmation you get it quite cheaply (about £2.50 for a single). It takes you right into central station which, surprisingly enough, is in the city centre!!

Have a great time!

The EuroHostel is right in the city centre, not really a hun area.

Glasgow Prestwick Airport has its own train station, trains to Glasgow Central, which is accros the road from the EuroHostel run every 30mins.
