Am more of a communist/socialist but as the SNP are the biggest of the Independence parties then I will be voting for them.

Unfortunately our oil is owned by Americans I think. I believe the British government sold it to them? I could be talking SHITE :oD

tOO many people aren't bothered about becoming free once again. I reckon that if people weren't tOO lazy to vote then Scotland would have a better chance of freedom.

Most countries around the world are independent and most of them prefer it that way. The only normal and appropriate status for any nation is independence.
The end of the British Empire should now lead to the end of the British Union.
Scotland's unique history led her eventually to be bribed, bullied and threatened into the treaty of union.
While some people in Scotland financially benefited from the British Empire most ordinary Scots were poor at the beginning and just as poor at the end. It no longer serves Scotland to be locked into an unequal marriage with a country ten times her size.
Britain still behaves like an imperial power (or more accurately a proxy of the United States) this has led it into considerable international conflict with countries who (not unreasonably) wish the US would stay firmly out of their business.

The Yanks and Canadians have got it spot on! In the last year i've spent 5 months in both countries and they call English - Brits! And obviously we're Scots. A few times before I was used to it, I would get annoyed if people were slagging of British people in front of me. I'd be like, 'HAW, less eh that eh!' Then they'd explain and i'd be like 'carry on...'

Does anyone else now hate the fact that ever since Braveheart any picture of William Wallace is of Mel Gibson? I don't know about you's but Braveheart when I think about it was shite! Mel made William lOOk like a soppy prick! Obviously I watch it anytime it's on (even though i got it on DVD). But I hate Mel Gibson!

Scotland only has itself to blame for the Union. The upper classes 'sold the jerseys' when they agreed to it, and pissed away everything the working classes had fought and died for.

They had ruined the country with the Darien scheme

The Union was formed when the majority of 46 (think that's the right number) members of the Scottish parliament in Edinburgh voted for the Union. No Scottish citizen got a say.

I think we've done okay out the union but now it's time for a change.

I have to confess I've never voted SNP before, coz I never believed independence was a viable goal.

However, I'm so disgusted at the government in London at the moment (Iraq) that I'm seriously considering it for next year.

The Union has caused alot of problems, not only in Ulster. But in Scotland too.

Yeh plus we gota get rid of this wasted vote attitude when it comes to SNP. Freedom is viable and the majority want it - dont believe these polls that say otherwise - theyre unreliable, blatant propanganda.

Those who oppose to spliting from the union can fuck off and be british somewhere else imo, no need for them
