With all the English carry on these last few weeks its good to see Andy Murry winning his first match at Wimbledon today. The wee man even had a saltire sweatband on his wrist, which even though the commentators were referring to him as brittish, shows he is doing it for Scotland. Well done wee man, give Scotland something to shout about this summer.

i had a few quid on him at 1000/1 last year when he was unknown and who knows if he didnt get knackered by the third set at that time. He definetaly has skill but his fitness was the problem last year hopefully hes sorted that. I hate how hes scottish when he loses but hope of britain when hes winning

he has Roddick next round so he will be out probs

Murray will be beaten in three sets in the next round.

He has potential, but since he left his coach he has been a shadow of the player he was last year. As a Scot I wish him well but his overall game has to many rough edges yet to make a serious impact this year.

Dunno if its just me, but he seems to have got a bit big-headed since he burst onto the scene last year. Sacking his coach, moaning in the papers, maybe its coz hes been knockin about with a boxer? Or maybe im just talkin pish!?

If im right tho, doesnt that remind you of a certain hopefully soon-to-be ex-Celtic player?

apparently he is also very aggressive, in the wrong way if you get what I mean lol?

think Murray and Henman will b exiting soon. Looks like it's Rusedski Ridge for wimbledon goers this year.

although he,s scottish I too think he,s a big headed twat, I hate tennis so it would not bother me in the slightest if he got bombed out straight away.

Rusedski got put out yesterday. Pretty sure Murray got asked last year what it was like to hold British hopes. He gave the reply, 'I'm not British, I'm Scottish.' It was great, the media guys were gutted. Hopefully he can make an impact this year.
