Free Derry
Always wanted to visit Free Derry. Just wanted to check out flights, but it always says there was no airplane there? Is that correct? If yes, could you recommend a way to derry from abroad? Like flying to belfast and taking a train to derry? cheers

There are plenty of flights into Belfast now.Derry is about an hour and a half from the airport.I think there is a bus service that runs every half an hour to Derry from the airport, check out the Translink web site, the bus service. Its a great wee place to visit as the people are very friendly, but it always seems to be raining, maybe thats why there plenty of pubs!!! I'm actually doing a charity cycle to Derry this Friday, looking forward to the beer.
Gerry.

there is an airport - city of derry, not many flights in and out of it though - stanstead, manchester, liverpool, glasgow, dublin, salou and porugal is all you get afaik. but you can fly to the george best airport or belfast 9nternational and there is an hourly bus which runs up and down www.airporter.co.uk .
anyway i reckon the best way to do it would be to fly to stanstead and get a connecting flight to derry. only half an hour flight and the bus can take between an hour an a half and 2 depending on traffic etc.
