Celtic have this afternoon officially confirmed that Dutch defender Jos Hooiveld will join the club on a three and a half year contract.

While the announcement was expected, official confirmation that Celtic’s back line has been bolstered will provide the fan faithful with a crucial boost, ahead of the challenges to come.

Celtic gaffer Tony Mowbray was clearly delighted with this addition to his squad, stating “we are very pleased to welcome Jos to Celtic. He is a player who we believe can make an important contribution to the club, and someone we look forward to working with.”
