Celtic goalkeeper Artur Boruc could be in hot water after the Scottish Football Association disciplinary committee's decision to haul the fan's favourite in front of the committee to explain an alleged gesture made to Rangers fans.
The Polish international was called Tuesday to appear before the panel on Sept. 16 after news photographs captured him making the one-fingered gesture. The alleged incident occurred after the Old Firm derby on August 31.
Celtic lost 4-2 in what was an ill-tempered affair, with Boruc at fault for two of Rangers goals. The highly-rated Polish international is thought to be going through a turbulent time regrading off the pitch affairs.
A statement on the SFA's website regarding the incident read:
Quote:
"Press photographs showing the player making a one-fingered gesture were considered by the review panel. The player has been called to appear before the disciplinary committee at its next meeting.
Before the meeting, the player has to respond with his comments on the alleged misconduct and to the material considered by the review panel.
"If the disciplinary committee finds the player to be guilty of improper conduct, it may impose any penalty on the player."

Celtic's main concern regarding this matter will be the fear that the SFA may impose a ban on Boruc, as this is not the first time Boruc has been called before the disciplinary committee.
Manager Gordon Strachan and all concerned with Celtic will be hoping Boruc is only given a slap on the wrist, but there are fears the punishment this time may be more severe.
