Would be a superb signing, not going to happen though!
I'm wondering why he was released though? Only last week Lyon accepted 3 bids of between 10 and 12 Million Euros, then all of a sudden hes a free agent, sounds fishy to me.
If hes worth 10 Million to your team, and people are willing to pay that, then why let him walk for free? Anyway fingers crossed that Lyons loss is our gain !!

 Hmmmmm If Any1 can get a explantion on why he was released would be helpfull.
Fred is an out n' out Striker, He can score goals and create aswell.

I was lead to believe crap via an insider , then 'setanta sports news 'spouted the same thing saying he was released.
