Bid and personal offer made.Celtic today released a statement with regard to the potential signing of Maciej Zurawski.
The club have made an offer for the player to his current club, Wisla Krakow, and personal terms have been offered to the player.
Despite having to return to Poland for personal reasons, things are said to be going well.
The statement said, "Celtic have had encouraging discussions with Maciej Zurawski and his representatives, and both the player and Wisla Krakow have received offers from Celtic.
"Clearly, such negotiations do take time, however Celtic are hopeful that a positive conclusion can be reached."

Hi ! My name is Andrew and i'm polish too. I live in Warsaw but i'm proud we have so great team as Wisla Krakow is. Zurawski for the last years was the best player of Wisla and of all polish league. His effectiveness is amazing. I hope he'll confirm his virtues in Celtic. All the best from polish football fan to all scottisch people.

Zuraw are to good for poor Celtic. He plays best in games oh high rate. In Scotland he will have 2 such meetings in season... It's to low for me. Maciek should sign 2 years contract with Celts or longer with the clause of the departure at the offer 3-4m euro. No ofens for your club but german or spain league are better for that type of player.

btw. It's not king of the penalty area how you think. He feels best when has free role on the pitch. Many times in Poland's & Wisla's games he returned under the own penalty area for the ball.

You forgot, that Glasgow Derby are 4 times in the season, plus possible Cup clash. You should play more football managers, mate :)
And of course big games in European Cups, where Celtic often plays very well.
I like islandic football and I think Zuraw suits to this kind of play.

thats what im afraid of too, seems like scottish league consists of only two teams and for real they play only against each other. Of course there are european cup games, but not too many

The standard has definately got better recently, believe me, Hibs, Hearts and Aberdeen all provide us with tough games. It may not be the best of leagues, but the pressure that is put on our players is unbelievable, we expect to win everything in Scotland every year. Henrik Larsson was a fantastic player and never turned his back on the club, he stayed with us for 7 years. He proved his value and earned a big move to Barcelona. Zuraw wont go wrong with us!

sure going to Glasgow is an upgrade for him, Celtic is Celtic, not some Trabzonspor or Vienna,

Someone asked in this thread how to pronounce Maciek's surename. More less it's something like "jooravskee", but not exactly - this "j" on the begining, I don't know how to explain this to you guys - if someone of you knows french, this "j" is pronounced softly like in french word "je".
