Bellamy could re-join on loan
Celtic could re-sign Craig Bellamy on loan for another season in a £1.5million deal with Newcastle Utd.
New boss Gordon Strachan is keen to get Bellamy back on board at Celtic Park as he looks to the new season.
But the Celtic board are reluctant to release the £6million Newcastle want for the Welshman and the prospect of another loan looks more and more likely.
Everton though could kill Celtic's hopes of taking Bellamy back if they pay the full amount Newcastle are after. Aston Villa are also in the frame for Bellamy's signature with Birmingham out of the frame after signing Mikael Forsell.

Re: Bellamy could re-join on loan
I cant understand how we dont have 6 million. When Mon took over he bought Sutton fo 6mill and BBJ for 6mill- and that was on the back of the Barnes era!!!!

Re: Bellamy could re-join on loan
Surely we would have a bit if money from 1.55-60 000 supporters at parkhead every other week 2. Getting to Seville in 2003 3. Playing in the Champions League group stages 3 times which is worth 15million along with the television revenue that comes with that!

Re: Bellamy could re-join on loan
There will be money available and I'm starting to think the £15million that was strongly rumoured will not be available. More like £3mil if we're lucky...

Re: Bellamy could re-join on loan
Are we being conned again. I thought the whole issue about the Bellamy situation was not about money but about the decisions if Craig wanted to stay in Scotland or go back to the premiership. So I suppose he was approached and asked if he wanted to stay to which I can only imagine he has agreed before Celtic re approached Newcastle to extend his loan deal.
Or are we just being stupid, like set up the loan deal then ask him if he wants to stay.
If Bellamy has agreed to stay get the can opener open and pay the £6 million.

Re: Bellamy could re-join on loan
I think the board are looking at it like this: They keep Bellamy for one season, 45 grand a week for a 1.5million loan deal or pay 6 million for a possible 2 year deal and 45 grand a week.
OR
They don't have enough money.
I think both are possibilities

Re: Bellamy could re-join on loan
we have the damn money now it's up to the club to spend it. we came close to loosing the club once because of poor choices and bad management.that era is gone.take chances and spend.if we don't we'll be where we were before king hendrik,a bunch of tossers lookin' for a chance for everyone to say our name.

Re: Bellamy could re-join on loan
Being a celtic supporter all my life it seems that its getting harder and harder to be a supporter of this club I feel its about time the fans around the world should express how they really feel about the board I dont want to feel im being taken for a ride every month i pay to see the team i love so much, but now i really feel the board are taking the piss.
We have our new manager... 2 weeks have passed and all we´ve had is talk... oh and jackie mcnamara was allowed to slip through the net, he´s been the most consistant player all season... what is going on in the east end of glasgow?

Whats going on indeed mate...
Board will be banking on Bellamy signing and hoping that that satifies the fans...one wee problem tho...we might be able to score goals but we sure as hell wont be able to stop them going in at the other end...
