[Celtic Mad]

Overview

This is a forum for Celtic Supporters, and supporters of other clubs who prove themselves worthy of our company, to discuss all matters that involve Celtic and anything else that we are interested in talking about inside and outside of football.

This charter contains all the rules and guidelines. The charter may be updated at any time. Make sure you are up to date. This is a requirement, and ignorance is not an excuse. Read all our rules before you post or you will find yourself banned very quickly.

New Rules are highlighted in red.

Golden Rule

There is no free speech!

This is a privately owned website. You do not have the right to say whatever you want on here. You are expected to obey the rules just like anyone else. Not following the rules will get you banned. It is very simple. You are allowed to discuss anything as long as it doesn't break the following rules.

No Advertising Policy

Advertising is strictly prohibited, unless with explicit permission from TC Staff. If you want to advertise something, make sure you contact TC Staff beforehand. Any adverts placed without our permission will be removed, and the person posting them banned immediately.

There is a subforum for Tickets but the rules of that forum must be followed or you will be banned. The guidelines are stickied in the forum

Forum Etiquette

Please navigate around the forums before starting a new thread. Use the search function if you think something may have been posted before.

Before you post a thread, consider the following:

- Is what I'm about to post relevant, coherent, funny or in any way interesting to other people?

- Does it add to the forum or is it another thread which is taking up space?

- Has it been posted before?

- Is it suitable for this forum?

Your threads and posts should be well thought out and coherent. If in doubt, use a spell checker before you post. Meaningful threads add to the community, throw away threads like "What is your favourite colour?" or "I have x amount of posts" accomplish nothing.

Posting any pointless thread or poll will result in the thread being locked. You can be banned for this. Think before you post. If you don't have anything to say then don't bother posting a new thread. Please try to comment as much as you can on any threads you create. If you create a thread in which you ask people to contribute in, contribute first.

On this forum, there is an automatic expectation that users ‘speak’ in proper English. Text Speak And L33t talk is for chat rooms, this is a discussion forum not a chat room. We do have a chat room for people that want to chat.

If someone starts a thread with flaming a person or trolling about Celtic (i.e. acting a Hun) etc, there is a “report abuse” function under the avatar of the guilty party. By using that you’ll get the attention of all the staff and will get the fastest response from us.

Behaviour

This is a forum for football supporters. Without meaning to generalise, football supporters as a group are not renowned for being easily offended by bad language. You'll also find we have a tendency to use shit loads of it a lot of the fucking time. Deal with it.

This site does NOT tolerate the following:-

• Racism
• Sexism
• Ageism
• Flaming
• Trolling
• Bigotry
• Sectarianism
• Other forms of Discrimination

These subjects can be discussed in a general manner if the people that are talking about it are being mature about it. These threads will be heavily moderated without warning. At the first sign of trouble, they can and will be locked and offenders possibly banned.

Remember that it's your responsibility for what you post, it's up to you to make sure that people don’t interpret your post the wrong way, i.e. the above bullet points. How you intended a post and how it is interpreted are two very different things sometimes and we’ll moderate on how it was interpreted.

Parental Control

This forum isn’t shy about discussing adult material in certain forums and in the case of minors, it is not the responsibility of the staff if they read material that is not intended for them, it's up to the parents to monitor their children’s internet usage, not us.

Pornographic material of all media type is banned from all public forums. Discussions relating to sex, sexuality and sexual activity are also prohibited on public forums. Only two forums on TC are exempt, The Jungle (GM only) and The Lisbon Lions forums.

Discussions on drugs is allowed. Telling people where to buy or requesting that information isn't allowed.

Any threads on these topics will be locked on sight. Repeat offenders will be punished.

We do encourage that members mark threads in the thread title, that have adult material with “*NSFW*”. This means not safe for work and generally this is a good indicator that it isn’t suitable for minors either but again if threads aren’t marked in this manner we cannot be held responsible if you get into trouble in work but we will punish people that don’t mark images or videos that could get people into trouble in work.
People that do not mark their thread with *NSFW* in the subject line will be disciplined. People posting NSFW material in threads that aren't marked *NSFW* will also be punished. There is prefixed available in forums that regularly would have NSFW material so there is no excuse. Failure to observe this rule can result in a ban

Registering a New Account to Circumvent a Ban

Creating an account or using another account to avoid punishment from staff will see all accounts involved permanently banned.

Signatures Sizing

All signatures should not exceed the following size limits, and you can't have both text and images.

• For text signatures: 4 lines normal size OR 8 lines small size, and up to 90 chars per line. Font sizes above 2 are not allowed. Do not use the [.quote] [.\quote]tags

• For images in signatures: Regular Members: 1 image up to 300 pixels wide, 100 pixels tall and 50k in size. Gold Members: 1 image 500 pixels wide, 200 pixels tall, 100k. No animated images are allowed.

Arguing with moderators

Do not argue with a moderator in a thread after they have given a warning or a infraction etc. Giving cheek or attitude to a moderator will get you infracted/banned. Do not, under any circumstances, question or complain about any member of staff.

Finally, in order to make this forum work, the moderators will sterilise threads that, in their opinion, serve no use. These include personally abusive, grotesquely off-topic and desperately surreal threads. This is not a democracy. This is a semi-benevolent dictatorship. Behave.
