Icon16 FAO travelling celtic supporters to Israel (from the Israeli LFC supporters club)

Shalom,

My name's Yaniv (aka Jonesie), and I am one of the managers of the Israeli Official LFC Supporters Club.

Some of you may be flying in to watch the match vs. Hapoel Tel Aviv next Thursday, and I would like to take the oppotunity to invite to a friendly gathering we are setting to watch Liverpool FC vs. Debrecen, LFC's first CL match of the season.

We are all aware of the close ties between LFC and Celtic FC throughout the decades. The meetings between the two teams and supporters are always a sight to remember (even via satelite TV), and personally I am always moved by the JFT 96 solidarity banner.

Anyways, a bunch of us are gathering to watch the match on Wednesday night, 16/09, at a pub called Mike's place in Tel-Aviv, it's on 86 Herbert Samuel, next to the American Embassy, near the Tel-Aviv beach.

The match is scheduled at 21:45 Israel local time, and since the place is usually packed for these kind of matches I would advise on coming in early for a pint (or a few) and some sensible discussions (or not, depending maybe on the number of pints).

We'd be delighted to have you around at our supporters' club 'local' bar.

Any questions you have just ask.

Also, if any of you plan on coming over to Jerusalem (I live in Jerusalem, and I actually own a share for Hapoel Katamon, a left-wing supporters'-owned FC formed 3 years ago after the Hapoel Jerusalem fans had just about enough of the corrupt managament. We're currently placed in the Israeli 4th division ) - I would like to invite you all to a great pub called Hataklit, on Heleni Hamalka st. in Jersualem's city center. It's a great place to hang out (started bartending there a few weeks back, but I don't own the place, just sharing my feelings here), and I'll be happy to meet with you there for a pint.

Of course, if any of you want any advice on places to see/visit in Jerusalem, the nightlife and all, just ask. I'll be happy to answer any questions.
