just read an article called vital sport aberdeen(i think)they are saying wer destroying the other teams apparently we keep stealing their best players all the time? sorry but like any other team if you see a good player you offer money for that player no. and that team can say no and hold on to that player........what im trying to say is im getting pissd off with scottish teams blaming us for other teams demise its not on....your thoughts please

I think if Celtic and Rangers weren't allowed to buy players from SPL teams for a couple of years that would really do Scottish football well.

Why dont we just blame Man Utd and Real Madrid if its down to the bigger teams buying the better players.

The fact is that the other Scottish football clubs have no ambition (or dont know how to move forward) and are quite happy to be 3rd best. Hearts almost got it right but then went into self destruct.

The people who run these clubs are good business people and quite rightly dont want to throw millions of their own cash into something that offers no or little return. The fans need to remember that rather than blaming someone else.

I agree with what they're saying. We keep signing their best players and throwing them in the reserves. I suspect at least half the motivation in signing them is to weaken the teams we have to play.

a can see the point that is being made but the reasons we buy players is surely because we believe they are good enough to play for and strenghthing our team. if the bid is good enough and the player wants to come then it is business. that is exactly the same reason man utd, realmadrid, barca etc buy players. the teams could easily say no to the bid and show ambition to keep their best players but the money could be too good to refuse or the player wants too leave.

i know the site editor for the aberdeen vital site well, don't listen to what he says he is a total wank who only writes articles like this because there is nothing to write about aberdeen so he tries to get attention with 'controversial' hot topic arguments

at the end of the day ,the players themselves want to play for the biggest teams around ,thats football, your not going to stop a player who dreamt about playing for his boyhood heroes ,if they get that chance they will go for it ,ok it doesnt allways work out for them ,but they had there dream move

But it turns out it's just some feeder club (

) whinging about the situation. Look Dons, it's football and it's business. Oftentimes our best players are taken away from us as well... life goes on. If fans of Scottish clubs want to stop losing all their players, then how about you bring more than a couple thousand to a match?
You're in the heart of Football and reports indicate that -- even with Celtic and Rangers drawing crowds home and away -- you're only averaging 15k a game. For Fucks Sake... more people go to watch an over-the-hill Beckham in LA... and Seattle just sold 17k season tickets for an expansion team in a cupcake league.
