CELTIC NEWS
We've made a few moves in the transfer market since our last Newsletter - most noteably the captures of Henri Camara from Wolves and Juninho from Middlesbrough.
Both players have made some kind of impact since joining the Scottish Champions - the Brazillian's entrance much more noticeable when he played an important part of Celtic's 7th straight win in a row over Rangers (who are out of the Champions League already!) The World Cup Winner looks certain to make a big impression on the European scene for Celtic this season with his fantastic movement and overall play. I really look forward to it!
Camara on the otherhand, hasn't been too impressive. He's netted a few times in the green and white of Celtic, and has shown some impressive and exciting bits of skill. However, the Parkhead faithful aren't convinced he will hold down a place in the side. I guess only time will tell. Hopefully the on-loan player is still settling down with his new club and team-mates.
But there will be no Marcel Desailly or Dwight Yorke at Celtic. Desailly turned down a final chance at top flight football and Yorke opted to play for Birmingham because 'his mates play there'. Nice to see some ambition from you there Yorkey boy!
Looks like we'll need to make do with just the two newcomers to the dressing room in Camara and Juninho.
Neither players are Henrik Larsson. But it's hoped the new dimension they bring to the Bhoys will see us head into the Champions League last 16.
On the subject of Larsson - guess who's coming back to Paradise! Yes, the Swedish striker will be back in Glasgow to face his former side at Parkhead a week on Tuesday when his new side Barcelona face Celtic in a Champions League Group F clash.
No one knows exactly how Henke will be treated by the supporters although it seems like he will get a positive reception of some kind - just how big though? One thing is certain however - it will be some atmosphere - quite possibly the best Celtic Park has seen in a long time in this rematch of the sides who fought in last season's UEFA Cup match in which Celtic came out on top with Larsson setting up Alan Thompson for the only goal of the whole two matches the sides fought out. Here's hoping for another win for Celtic!
Our other opponents in a very tricky Champions League draw will be AC Milan, European Cup Winners not so long ago and one of this year's favourites to lift the prize again this year, and Ukraine champions Shahktar Donetsk, another tough team who have a good record at home.
I am looking forward to this season's Champions League - so many exciting matches both home and away to excite us, especially those against Barca and Milan, with no disrespect to Shahktar. Remember it all kicks off for us on Tuesday 14th September at home against Barcelona when Larsson returns. He'd better not score - unless we're already 3 up and we're into the last minutes of the game!!
I've scratched the surface of our recent 1-0 victory over Rangers at the weekend there but I feel it deserves a little bit more a of a mention.
WHAT A GOAL FROM THOMMO!
Yes! Superb! Klos has no chance of stopping that server which was set for the back of the net as soon as Thompson saw it come out to him. Well done Celtic on another victory! Looks like Magnificent 7 lives on then - in stright Old Firm wins, that is! Here's hoping we can continue this run of wins up to at least 9 or even 10 in a row. Ooh I can see it now if we get the 10! What a rush of excitement! Well done again Celtic. Top of the league too but we must be careful since our nearest rivals (not Rangers - Aberdeen lol) are sitting 4 points behind us and haven't yet conceeded a goal or lost a match. But things look safe for now. Magic! Here's a wee song our co-owner at TalkCeltic made up (Damo or Celtic_Mad on the Forum) to slag the teddy bears based on the fact their out of the Champions League, lost their 7th OF game in a row and sit third/joint fourth in the league. He said he made it himself although I'm no sure since it's quite good lol:
Tell all the huns you know,
That we're sorry you're feeling so low!
We don't mean to tease
But it's 30 degrees
And the Sangria's startin' to flow...oh oh oh

TALKCELTIC NEWS
We don't have too much to inform you about although some things worth noting.
Firstly, the Prediction League [
http://www.talkceltic.net/PredictionLeague ] will be getting more matches added to it shortly for you to predict on, so keep your eyes peeled for it. You will receive an email from Celtic_Mad when it's updated though but just incase you forgot! If you're not a member of the Prediction League yet then please sign up (totally free and very fast). You have loads of time since there are loads of matches to be played yet involving Celtic and remember we have a prize available (announcement due shortly) for the winner of the Prediction League. It's very tight at the moment but james691055 currently sits top! I'm doing allright myself in 9th position. That will all change soon though, I'm telling you!!
Also, our Forum (and the site in general) has had over 50 new sign ups in the last 2 days which is quite remarkable. We're obviously getting much bigger in the Celtic fansite world. If you're already on the Forum go join in with banter again. I know a lot of you are but just don't bother to check it out! But you should because you'll enjoy the Celtic-friendly banter there! And, if you make over 50 posts, you will be entitled to a free signature (if you want it), created by our new Graphics Designer Celtic_Babe! If you've not joined yet (you don't know what you're missing!) then go to:
http://www.talkceltic.net/forum and click 'Register'. It only takes a few moments of your time and is completely free. Once you've registered you can take part in the discussions on various different topics involving Celtic in general, our new players, Scotland, Ireland, slagging Rangers and in our 'Arcade' which has some fun wee games to be played and Top Scores to be beaten! What you waiting on?

One last thing on the site. I took a few of the Celtic Wallpapers offline from the 'Downloads' section. But thanks to an email from a TalkCeltic viewer, I've suddenly remember that I've to get them added again! So if you want a few Celtic Wallpapers for your desktop then click onto the site
http://www.talkceltic.net and then onto 'Downloads' from the menu. You should see them on there!
Well that's all I've got to say for this edition! Hope you enjoyed your wee read (and sing-song if you joined in earlier). I'll probably write again to you in a few weeks time with what's been happening around the club and the site.
Until then, take care and I'll see you on the Forum! I've made a thread on there (see the Requests and Feedback section) which will hold all Newsletters sent out from this issue onwards. So if you've enjoyed this or hated it or have requests or anything else regarding this Newsletter (or even if it's just to say 'Hey, I'm on the Newsletter Mailing List!') then don't hesitate to do so! We love to see what you think or just to say hi!
Thanks again fholks!
