That we are have a much better squad and have bottled it big time, that the manager has lost the plot and the dressing room, that stats don't actually win you games, that we severly lack motivational leaders.

What would you say dempsey, bad luck?

Maybe you should look at what I was refering to in that post again. To base that Strachan has no managerial skills on that QOTS put 4 goals against a team that played completely opposite to when they played us is muppet talk.

And I stated an observation back. Maybe the word muppet shouldn't have been used, sorry, but I'm sick of everyone trying to 'define' Strachan and/or his management of Celtic with sweeping statements such as "no managerial skills" with weak and illogical arguements.

Couple that with the fact that some create a brand new thread when there is a 16 page arguement ongoing and they start up everyone again on the issue.

Did you ever see the episode of Father Ted when Jack goes to St. Clabbarts (The episode with Brendan Grace)? When they turn on the light in the home and all the old priests start shouting "feck" "arse" "drink". This place is like that everytime!

Instead of people looking for arguments all the time with silly snide remarks (such as Muppet etcetc used that one as an example as it was the most recent). Why in your view do posters choose to ignore relevant grievances and concentrate on ridicule and personally abusive insults.?

IMO it is because thay cannot defend the un-defendable by debating relevant issues so they choose to defend their position by abusing others opinions.

P.S. This post was not aimed solely at Dempsey it is just a general observation.

They aint ignoring relevant grievences, they are dismissing the arguement and the reason. As I stated above, where is the logic in Tamster's arguement about Strachan's Managerial skills. People will listen to a logical and reasonable arguement but the sweeping statements will be shot down by some/majority/one, it doesnt matter, because they are easy to do so.

Somtimes people make what appears to be a sweeping statement, but in truth they've made long winded assesments before, and as they have not been agreed to, or convincingly disproved, they feel they are entitled.
In other words, other than copy and paste every time which will be boring as fuck to others, you make your point then stand your ground, unless proven wrong.

Ok if some/majority/one disagree with a sweeping statement then fine but tell me Dempsey what use to the argument is it to respond in a personally abusive manner. To me this ruins the thread and causes unease and a wariness of certain posters.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

It just seems to me that some are waiting for their moment to attack an individual but don’t contribute to the actual point of the thread. I am not saying you were entirely guilty of this in your response to Tamster. However it is definitely something that is happening on a regular basis all over the forum and to me it is somewhat ruining decent debate.

Yes that can sometimes happen. Hence why I'm sick of the countless threads on the same subject e.g. this topic. I know that has alot got to do with and people are sick of each other now because of it

When you see "6 Mergered" in the title, it gives an indication of how many times we've had to join two threads on the same subject and it directly proportional to our patience with people that happen to start the next one that will have to be merged.
