I don't think I'd were that colour. A bunch of NHL and NFL teams over here in have a light pink version of their jerseys that women can wear that is the breast cancer ribbon colour and in most cases part of the profit from the sale of the jerseys goes to breast cancer research. You might be a bit better off trying some thing like that. I personly have just never liked that kind of bright purple colour. If you wanted to try selling a hoops jersey in a different colour for women, you might want to try something more subtle. Here is a picture of one of the Jerseys I was talking about, they have actually sold really well here in Ottawa:
