Yeah, follow it quite extensively actually. It gets a bad rep IMO, people tend to overlook the huge number of rules and limitations involved, and instead focus on the fact that it's marginally more brutal than boxing.
IMO, overall, not taking into account weight-class, George St-Pierre is currently the best MMA fighter there is. An astounding athlete.

TBH, I think it's less brutal than boxing. The kicking allows fighters to keep range better and fighters rarely take sustained punishment on the ground. Boxers definitely take more punishment because it's constant, in range striking.
But anyway, love UFC, going down to London next week to see it, cannae wait. My favourite's BJ Penn, the guys just an absolute natural in there, so relaxed and fluid, reminds me an MMA version of Roberto Duran.

Aye, GSP is definitely the best athlete in the sport right now. That guy could have turned his hand to any sport, just an incredible, explosive athlete. What's incredible about him is that he has no background in wrestling prior to MMA but he's by far the best wrestler in the sport in terms of takedown and takedown defense percentages. Dominated Hughes and Kostchceck in that department, ffs. Unbelievable athlete.
Overall though I give the P4P crown to BJ Penn by a thin margin. GSP edged out a win over Penn but that was at 170 and Penn is at his best 155. Very close between those two though wouldnae argue the toss to strong either way. Anderson Silva and Emelianenko deserve a shout as well, it's pretty close between all 4 of those guys.

Personally love watching Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, the way he took down Sapp and more recently Tim Sylvia was absolutely masterful. Speaking of him his old nemesis Heath Herring will be fighting Lesnar at UFC87 i full expect Lesnar to wipe the floor with him and move up fairly quickly after being caught in his debut match in an ankle lock, rookie error i doubt he'd make again in a hurry.
