And we have our first winners of a senior provincial championship this year - Antrim, who beat Down to win the Ulster SHC today. They shouldn't be challenging in the All-Ireland, though.

Kilkenny are through to the Leinster SHC final after destroying Offaly in the end. Can't see either Dublin or Wexford getting near us, to be honest. Kilkenny against Tipperary looks likely to be the All-Ireland final for me.

The Munster SFC final will be contested between Kerry and Cork after both ended up winning today. Should be a decent encounter.

Football.

Really thought Derry were gonna win yesterday but Fermanagh showed great fitness to come back. I expect them to be facing Armagh in the final. Armagh against Down should be a good game next Sunday.

Wexford had too much for Laois in their Leinster semi final this afternoon. Laois butchered too many opportunities. Dublin really should win the Leinster Championship quite comfortably (again) this year. Hopefully Westmeath will give them a good game next Sunday.

Mayo destroying Sligo this afternoon by thirteen points was a big shock. Really thought Sligo would have put up a better fight than that. Mayo against Galway should be a good final.

Hurling.

Clare destroyed Limerick in their Munster semi final this afternoon (just finished watching it on Setanta) - this Limerick side is playing so much worse than last year it's unbelievable. Tipperary should beat Clare in the final, though. If anyone is to beat Kilkenny this year it'll be Tipp.

Wexford just got the better of Dublin in their Leinster semi final replay at Croke Park this afternoon by a single goal - completing a great day for Wexford GAA. Wexford were always in front and you have to feel that Dublin lost their chance to get to their first Leinster final in seventeen years (I think) last weekend. Still, this Dublin side will probably make a breakthrough in the next few years, but it will be many years before a team from Leinster will be challenging Kilkenny on a regular basis.

i cant remember seeing a team hit as many wides as loais, althougth ford hit quite a few for wexford today too.

i knew sligo would get beat but cant believe there was 13 points in it.

i actually wanted the dubs to beat wexford in the hurling, nice to see the dubs making a go of it in the hurling, but antrim are certs to win the liam mc carthy

So, the Leinster Hurling final on Sunday - we're going for our 10th Leinster Championship in 11 years. Up against Wexford. I'm off to Croke Park to see us destroy 'em!

Can't really see Cork challenging Kerry in the Munster Football final.

Agree with that. It's hard to see anything other then Kilkenny and Kerry winning their repective provincial crowns again tomorrow. Both would I think have to be hot favourites to retain their All Ireland titles as well.

its a bit boring watching kilkenny win every year (unless you're kilkenny bhoy) so i really hope someone beats them although i cant see it happening. kerry will win munster but i think the football championship is far more open than people think

Not very well this year - lost to Derry in the Ulster quarter finals. Didn't they win the League last year, though?

Yes Donegal won the league in 2007 but it has been a poor year for them so far. Never in contention during the league and out early in Ulster so now in the last chance saloon in the qualifiers.

Are there any normal links that broadcast gaelic football and hurling matches? I've been dying to see some live matches this year and being in America does not help much. Any links?

Try p2peu or justintv come matchday. Or, better yet, a pub!

Try Setanta broadband.

Thanks for the replies.

First off, I use myp2p quite a lot, however they don't usually list those matches under other sports or live at all when they are playing. I've noticed that the matches are sometimes shown on justintv, however when I usually search for which teams are playing, nothing comes up. Are there certain justintv accounts that broadcast GAA stuff more often?

As for Setanta, I actually have the channel through satelite, but they never show the matches live. I've looked into the broadband, but according to their website they don't necessarly cover all the matches? At least the montly subscription doesn't. The annual one is too expensive and I already have the normal subscription for satelite. I see you can pay 100 dollars for the hurling and football packages each through their pay per view option. Either that or you can buy each match for 10 bucks. If was a reasonable price than maybe, but Setanta is being ridiculous with how much they charge and how little they show live. Shouldn't normal Setanta viewers also get full access to the broadband? That would make better sense. It's like Netflix, I pay my monthly bill for it and get free access to their online content.

Ok my rant is over now.
