Didn't see the game myself but just checking and I see that not only did Dublin score a goal in the last minute through Jason Sherlock but actually that was Sherlocks second goal as he had scored just 4 minutes from time as well. Sounds like it was a cracking O'Byrne Cup final Dublin down by 4 with 4 minutes to play and up pops Sherlock with 2 goals to win it 2-12 to 1-14. Great stuff
How about Jason Sherlock though wow he has been on the scene it seems for eons now.
Hopefully Dublin can push on this year and go all the way. 3 straight Leinster titles are nice but time to make them count and go all the way. We have played some great football over the last few years at times so I think the ability is certainly there for us to win the All Ireland title if we can just peak at the right time this year.

Kilkenny to go all the way in the hurling again this year!
The hurling is a much better game than the football - much more exciting to watch.

Or more likely your biased in favour of hurling because Kilkenny are outstanding in Hurling and worthless in Football!

When I was on vacation in Ireland we watched quite a bit of gaelic football. We went to the all ireland hurling championship semi finals and that was great. We were surrounded by hundreds of Cork fans who adopted us into they're fan base. We got pictures with borrowed scarfs, flags, and rebel hats. Since I live in America I can't exactly follow it too well. We do have the north american setanta and I can watch some matches.
I do have some questions about gaelic football and hurling. All I know is that there is championships during the summer. Is there an actual season for all the counties to compete in or is it small tournaments before the major championship in the summer? I'd like to follow it better, however I have no idea what the structure of the matches are.

The lead into the All Ireland Championships starts at the begining of the year with pre-season tournaments which are provincial based such as the O'Byrne Cup in Leinster for football.
Then the season officially gets under way with the kick off of the National League. The National League is 7-8 games depending on your divisions size and is run on a league basis with promotion and relegation. At the end each year are playoffs leading to a National League winner and then the Championship seasons gets under way. Right now the National League is 2 rounds in.
